Since 1980, “Cepparello” has been one of the pioneers of the “Super Tuscan” wine category and a leader in terms of quality. Every year, the wine is made from hand-picked 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the estate’s finest, sunniest and windiest vineyards.

Thanks to meticulous vineyard management and soil research, Paolo De Marchi has created a unique wine that is now ranked among the world’s top 350 wines according to Wine Searcher.
“Cepparello”, alongside “Sassicaia”, “Le Pergole Torte”, “Tignanello”, “Masseto” and “Ornellaia”, tops the list of the finest Super Tuscan wines.

The fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. The wine is aged for 18 months in barriques, tonneaux and large French oak barrels, followed by a further year of bottle ageing. The wine is produced with minimal intervention and develops in the bottle for 2–3 days after opening.

Aromas: sweet cherry, tobacco, blackberry, graphite, leather.
Palate: juiciness, full body, the freshness of crushed berries, endless finish.
Ageing potential: 20 years
